3QBD was founded in April 2000, by two highly experienced professionals, Dr. Avraham Lorber and Dr. Zeev Karpas, both well known senior researchers at the Nuclear Research Center Negev (NRCN) in Israel, each with over 30 years expertise in the field of biotechnology.
From the start, 3QBD's vision was to provide the field of Women's Healthcare with a new diagnostic tool that would transform the health and wellbeing of women throughout the world. Today, women can receive improved healthcare as their gynecologists, obstetricians or healthcare pratitioners are able to diagnose their vaginal infections more accurately, effectively and efficiently, and so immediately prescribe the correct treatment for their condition.
3QBD’s main financial support stems from its shareholders, including a major US chemical company. Initially the company received backing from the Israeli Ministry of Trade and Industry Chief Scientist’s incubator office.
Future developments for 3QBD include expanding research into the medical fields, especially oncology, to detect certain cancers and the the use of its technology for various other applications in the fresh food and livestock sectors.
3QBD is ISO certified 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems and ISO13845:2003 Manufacturing of Quality Medical Devices.
